Sorry for Partying

Let's get serious - I've never taken this very seriously. For some time now my ambition to pursue photography professionally has been muddled by apathy, cycling and a healthy amount of whiskey. Even in the wake of starting a blog to post some dailies and other various critiques of my environment, I have been distracted.

In the words of Lucas, "In the immortal words of The Doors, 'The time to hesitate is through.'"  Through this blog and a forthcoming website (www.johndanielreiss.com) I hope to show y'all a world in which we all live, but that I see everyday.  This will be an exercise in decadence, over exposure, under exposure, sleeping in, making breakfast, hugging the coast, trying not to stress and capturing the world.
